I'm a freelance writer, designer, podcast producer, and a staff member at Atwood Magazine. My written work centers on how lyricism captures mundane moments and makes them universal, like how an artist's first-person experiences can become felt by audiences anywhere. What can I say? I watched Hannah Montana in the third grade and haven't been the same since. As James Joyce said, "In the particular is contained the universal."
My writing has been published by The Indypendent, Atwood Magazine, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. I graduated from Buena Vista University in Iowa, before attending The New School where I got my MA in Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism. While there, I served as the Executive Editor of a student magazine called BackMatter.
My design work is text-based and maximalist. It focuses on my particulars that hopefully contain universals. In addition, I wrote, directed, edited, and produced a queer science fiction audio drama called Cassette Tapes From August, and its companion series Love Letters From Willowdale.
